I do not know why, but I like buying things because I like the feeling of having something new. But then after a while of having it, I do not know what to do with it. I would give it someone but I feel attached. The stuff I have somehow makes me feel safe and happy despite not knowing what to do with it.

My bedroom isn’t messy though. But because its quite small, it just looks like it has more stuff and looks clutted. And I can’t stand clutter because it makes me anxious, so I find ways to store the things in discrete ways, ways to make the bedroom look tidier, etc.

My family are exactly the same, collecting stuff and never using it.

My friend is a hoarder and has a toddler. I’ve never been in her home but she has told me that her home is full from bottom to top. There is a small area for the son to play in. Her husband is a doomsday junkie. The toddler doesn’t have his own room because they haven’t cleared an extra room for him. She is a good person and the kid is adorable. I do not believe there is neglect on her part. However, I am concerned for the kids future. What do I do?
FYI – I am not invited to enter their house or even know where they live – because they do not want me to see the inside of it.

Is this a great idea for a TV show, Hoarders, Buried Alive! But just show the very Richest American people and their?

Money? You could include off-shore accounts, foreign flag Yachts, dual citizenships, $1,000,000.00/HOUR incomes, vast untaxed family charities, a dozen accountants shipping money away from America………As a series it would last one hundred years…

Is it okay to keep a lost puppy if you find it and you see the real owner is a hoarder?

Two days ago, a lost puppy came running towards me and my friend while we were walking home and we looked around and seen no 1 outside watching him, a couple days later signs turn up about looking for the lost puppy with an address so me and my friend go to the address and the owner turns out to be a hoarder, You can smell her house from across the street and as my friend went up to the gate he nearly threw up, there was rats outside and a bunch of junk sitting outside the front door. Honestly, i believe i should keep the dog because the house is a hazard for the dog and he could easily get sick and die. But first i want to make sure it’s Oklahoma for me to actually do this. Make sure it’s not illegal.
Oh, and i live in the state of CA .
Also, the puppy came up to us with no collar or any identification. However, we had knowledge it was someone’s because his tail had been chopped off and he smelled clean.

I love all animals but I have a soft spot in my heart for cats. Anyway, this might sound dumb but I feel that if a stray cat comes up to my house, regardless of the number of pets I have, I would take it in. I just feel so bad for them and how they’ll probably die a horrible death if I do not take them in I feel I have no choice.

Even if I had four cats and a stray came to my house I couldn’t turn it away.

I have thirty four cats. Their litter boxes is outside porch fenced; so they cannot escape.
They eat 2x a day with Cat Chow in their own bowls. They’re separated into three rooms depends on their friendship = no fights.

Am I a hoarder?

They receive their annual rabies. Also they all are spayed and neutered.
Ok. To those who thinks I am a hoarder. Then why rescues are able to rescue up to one hundred cats and not being called hoarder? Especially those no-kill shelter. What are difference between us?

Jess. It’s all the same damn thing. The only thing these people suffer from is laziness and a lack of discipline(both mental and physical for that matter as well).
Ofcourse I’ve seen the show. How else would I know that these a—holes are lazy? These people just can’t get off their big f—king fat a—ses and do a very little house work.
Not a cop. Actually most of them are far from organized. And if there are a few that DO organize their stuff then that further proves that the other ones are lazy!

If it is a legitimate illness and some of them organize their stuff, then that means the others ones are lazy anyway!

What’s the difference between being rich and being a hoarder?

If they’ve the money to buy so much crap that fills up their homes to the point where they can’t even walk in the very place where they live, then they’ve enough money to help pay off part of the debt.

Wouldn’t the much higher taxes maybe motivate them to get off their fat a—ses and actually organize their stuff?
